You covered some great ground. The best nuggets are not the stories about 'when I did ...' but your pattern identification.
Devops is all about getting operations to align with business outcomes. There is no point to agile for the sake of doing something different if the business doesn't get benefit. Devops can be measured by the business as metrics can be jointly agreed on and routinely communicated and understood.
